Circles for Sisters and Brothers
of the Rose

Rooted in a deep respect for the human journey and the wisdom of gathering in circle, Lorna has felt inspired to offer Empowerment Circles for women and men since 1995. This inspiration first stirred after attending a structured, corporate-style workshop focused on returning to work. At that time, Lorna had spent six precious years devoted to raising her young children, a period rich in presence, learning, and love. While the workshop offered practical guidance, it did not honour the depth of inner change she had experienced, nor the emotional and spiritual dimensions of re-entering the wider world.

Although the seed for this work was planted in 1995, it was not until some years later, following the ending of Lorna’s marriage, that the call to offer these circles fully ripened. This significant life transition created space for deep reflection, healing, and a reconnection with her own inner voice. Out of this period of personal transformation, clarity emerged, along with a strong sense of purpose and readiness to hold space for others walking their own paths of change.

In 2001, Lorna began offering Empowerment Circles as sacred spaces where people could gather in authenticity and trust. Over time, these circles have continued to evolve organically, guided by intuition, lived experience, and the collective energy of those who attend. While many of the circles are held with a particular focus on women’s experiences and shared wisdom, there are also many gatherings that warmly welcome people of all genders.

Each circle carries its own intention and rhythm. While themes may sometimes overlap, no two gatherings are ever the same. The circles offer a gentle and grounding way to step out of everyday life and into a nurturing space of connection, where participants support one another in holding a healing and sacred container.

Circle practices may include heartfelt sharing, drumming, poetry, movement, song, simple ceremony, expressions of love and gratitude, and the sharing of ceremonial-grade cacao. Together, these practices foster presence, belonging, and inner empowerment, honouring both individual journeys and the shared human experience. All are Welcome Here.
