The Consolamentum is an ancient rite of blessing and the laying on of hands, preserved within the Cathar tradition as a transmission of the Holy Spirit and a dedication to a life grounded in truth.

Traditionally, it marked a profound turning of the soul ~ not toward a system of belief, but toward a way of living shaped by simplicity, integrity, clarity, and devotion to what is deeply real.
